Via Mercury News, NPH Executive Director Amie Fishman noted that “the need for bold affordable housing solutions has become too urgent for major companies like Facebook to ignore. Their commitment is an important step in the right direction.”
Election Day is coming up November 5 and we need to make sure San Francisco passes Proposition A! Prop A will invest $600 million in affordable housing through a bond to support the city's most vulnerable residents and communities, as well as affordable housing for educators.
The "Vote Yes On A" campaign needs your help in making sure this critical measure passes. First, if you are a San Francisco voter, make sure you vote for the measure on November 5. 11/4 San Francisco Foundation's "Our Region's Leaders Discuss the Housing Challenge." This panel discussion will look at the implications of recently enacted housing legislation as well as what the future holds for addressing the challenge of homelessness and housing in the Bay Area.
11/8 MidPen Housing's Sunset Creek Grand Re-Opening Celebration. Come celebrate the renovation of Sunset Creek, 76 affordable apartments for families in Fairfield. Sunset Creek is the result of a partnership between MidPen Housing and the City of Fairfield to preserve and maintain its affordable housing communities for the long run.
